6 hours in Paris’ Charles De Gaulle Airport before connecting flight to Italy,possible for short city tour?

i have an upcoming layover for 6 hours in Charles De Gaulle Airport before my next departure to Italy. ill be arriving at CDG around 6.45 am and depart for italy at 1315. is it possible for me to get out of the airport for a quick tour of paris? im from malaysia and i dont speak any french. would it be possible to go and come back in time for my next flight? thanx!

Given that you will not get through immigration and security until 7:45 at the earliest, and then have to find the train station and catch a train, I think it would leave you too little time to do any really sight seeing. You need to remember, that leaving the airside area of the airport, then means you will need to go through security and get to your new departure gate, which could take 45min to 1hour, plus you don’t really want to be rushing either.

My best advice, for doing something in a layover, is read a good book, listen to an ipod, browse the shops, even grab a bite to eat, as I’m sure you’ll be hungry during those 6 hours.

Leave Paris for another time, when you can stay over a night or 2.
