Train to the clouds, Salta, Argentina?

We are thinking of doing the train to the clouds ride in Salta in May. Has anyone done this? We would like to know if it is worth doing and how much it would cost? Or if anyone could recommend a good tour group to book through? Is it possible to organise ones you get there, or is it better to organise in advance. We will be travelling to Salta by bus. Does anyone know how long this takes and if the buses travel this route regularly? And can you after the journey then fly to Buenous Aires? I know heaps of questions, but any help would be much appretiated.

It’s expensive and even more so for non-Argentines. You can organise everything when you are in Salta, you are travelling to Salta by bus you say but, from where?? There are regular flights to BA and the bus will take about 20 hours. Make sure you visit places like Purmumarca and Huamuhuca in Jujuy, they are very beautiful and worth it also Cachi is worth a visit. Good luck
